This multidisciplinary CBCT course covers both level 1 and level 2, but please note you have to book the events separately. You can attend only one level should you wish.
Level 1 is intended to train dentists who prescribe CBCT imaging, such that they may request appropriately and understand the resultant reported images.
Date: Thursday 31 October 2024.
Level 2 is intended to train to a more advanced level and covers the understanding and skills needed to justify, carry out and interpret a CBCT examination. Please note you have to bring your own laptop for level 2 only.

This is an interactive course building on the Introduction to CBCT training in dentistry (Level 1). It will be facilitated by an expert consultant in dentomaxillofacial radiology and allows delegates to be familiar with reporting CBCT images. The course will be held in a computer suite of UCLan to comply with enhanced training in CBCT.
Please note you have to bring your own laptop for this level 2 course.

• Build on the principles described in Level 1 CBCT training
• Recognise normal anatomy of dental and supporting structures
• Describe the justification of CBCT imaging
• Interpret a CBCT examination and be aware of the limitations of CBCT and importance of dose reduction.
